Amazon Sr. Partner Solutions Architect - AI/ML, Technology Partners - COE Tech in New York City, New York

Description

AWS is looking for Solutions Architects to work with our most strategic big data software partners. This is a hands-on, highly technical position is for someone who can dive deep, build complex, AWS-optimized architectures, and develop a long-term strategy with AWS business development and service teams.

Candidates must have great communication skills and be very technical, with the ability to impress AWS customers at any level, from executive to developer. Previous experience with AWS is desired but not required. As the right candidate, you should have hands-on experience designing and troubleshooting large-scale systems architecture, in addition to working experience with virtualized environments in the enterprise. You will get the opportunity to work directly with senior engineers at both top software vendors and AWS service teams, influencing their roadmaps and driving innovation.

30% travel required, domestic and internationally.

A day in the life

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.

  • 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in AI/ML (1+ in Generative AI specifically) Experience contributing to the system design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current GenAI systems.

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a solution/product.

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.

  • Experience managing technical solution/product.

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study or 8+ years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD degree in computer science, or related STEM field

  • 3+ Years of experience working with Machine Learning and Data Science communities.

  • Strong working knowledge of deep learning, machine learning and statistics

  • Strong communication and data presentation skills
- comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment

  • Deep knowledge of software development tools and methodologies and active, hands-on coding and AI/ML application design experience

  • Ability to demonstrate body of work and influence (e.g. public repos, public speaking, Open-Source contributions or similar).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $122,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
