MED CARD NEEDED - Interview/Background a MUST PLUS: Overnight stays

Position Overview

The helper will handle multiple duties, such as assisting in service work, warehouse duties and company deliveries. He or she will be operating a company vehicle. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Essential Functions

SERVICE

installations, scheduled maintenance, and preventative maintenance on all Filter Sales & Service, Inc.

• Routinely change air filters, UV bulbs, and perform other job-related duties as assigned

• Responsible for following company and customer safety policies and procedures

• Maintain and comply with company vehicle maintenance policy and procedures

• Familiarity with basic tools and maintain ability to transport both equipment and tools to customer sites

• Regular and reliable attendance

Overnight stays may be required 2-3 times a month. These are MANDATORY

Warehouse

• Complete all warehouse work in accordance with company techniques and methods.

• UPS shipping and receiving

• Fed Ex shipping and receiving

• Counter sales

• LTL Shipping & receiving

• Loading and unloading trailers of product

• Loading company trucks for deliveries.

• Occasionally needed for deliveries and additional job site labor.

• Buildings & Grounds maintenance as required. Mowing lawn, shoveling, changing light bulbs, sweeping etc…

Deliveries

• Responsible for picking orders AND loading delivery vehicles (vans, box trucks)

• Drive (under DOT regulations) orders to customer at various locations across New England.

• Responsible for following company and customer safety policies and procedures

• Maintain and comply with company vehicle maintenance policy and procedures

• Driver will have familiarity with basic tools and maintain ability to transport both equipment and tools to customer sites

• Responsible for both electronic and written customer and company information

• Regular and reliable attendance; punctuality is essential

Requirements

. General computer skills required

• Must have good verbal and written communication skills

• Highly motivated, self-starting individual with a willingness to learn

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail

• A clean work record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

• Physical requirements include ability to bend, squat, walk with heavy equipment, climb ladders, and lift 70 pounds

• Valid driver's license

• DOT Medical Card required; Filter Sales & Service, Inc. will provide for exam fee* Requires occasional overtime and early/late hours as well as overnight stays to complete a job.
