Amazon’s Reliability and Maintenance Engineering Worldwide Talent Development (RME WWTD) team is currently seeking an experienced and highly collaborative learning professional who will lead the RME organization in training management and innovation. This role is responsible for managing and executing training assignments globally, ensuring quality and accuracy of the delivery, developing new platforms and mechanisms to track and deliver learning, and own learning technology related initiatives that support continued growth and expansion.

The Program Manager III needs to have an expert level understanding in Learning Management Systems (LMS), content development tools, and dashboard interfaces. This role will assess to understand business needs and challenges, architect new processes and technology for learning growth, and drive efficiency, accuracy, and learner comprehension within the organization. This position also requires a strong delivery record and proven program management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional and learning projects and programs. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Role requires up to 15% travel.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage the data and content within Amazon’s LMS and ensure consistent and accurate learning assignments for the global RME organization

• Partner and collaborate with other WWTD programs to manage and execute LMS data reporting and auditing strategies

• Drive continuous improvement methodologies of dashboard reporting and processes

• Develop and document comprehensive LMS standards and training materials to establish consistent guidelines to promote effective usage and standardization across the organization.

• Develop and drive governing KPIs, providing visibility to key milestones, and performance of programs using this data to drive/influence business decisions

• Utilize data to drive timely and accurate decisions for course/curriculum updates and modifications

• Provide guidance and leadership to team members utilizing the LMS through educational initiatives and strategic project planning

• Collaborate with and support program managers who utilize the system for their individual programs to procure resources, outline project scopes, prioritize initiatives, establish milestones, and foster successful program delivery

• Take ownership of program communication concerning learning systems, expediting progress by making timely decisions, resolving obstacles (e.g., issues hindering progress), and escalating matters as needed to ensure smooth advancement.

• Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and subject matter experts to develop, implement, and evaluate learning initiatives

About the team

The Amazon Reliability and Maintenance Engineering team maintains and optimizes technologies ranging from large, modern, purpose-built warehouses utilizing robotics and high-volume conveyance all the way through the value chain to small, high speed warehouses placed as close to our customers as possible. We maintain and optimize technologies in the Global Customer Fulfillment, Sort Center/Air, and Delivery Network. Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or business/related field

• 3+ years of program or project management experience

• 5+ years of work experience in learning program management and content creation, preferably in Instructional Design and Learning Management Systems

• Experience with ticketing systems, agile methodologies

• Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

• Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels through written papers, organizational communications, and business cases

• Experience identifying business opportunities and leading product development start to finish, with experience driving prioritization consensus across business units

• Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced work environment and manage time appropriately

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree

• Experience and/or familiarity with innovative learning technologies including 360 video, AR/VR

• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

• Experience in an operational environment developing, fast-prototyping, piloting and launching learning and analytic products

• Familiarity with Javascript, Python, Java, AWS solutions including Lambada, RDS, CDK, Git, and React framework

• Experience working with system architectures, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $65,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $144,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
