Description

We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst for our Retail Client near DTLA. This BI analyst will leverage analytics, automate reports, and utilize data to generate business insights. They identify opportunities from historical data, create automated reports, develop business intelligence infrastructure, and mentor analysts.

Primary Job Functions:

• Analytics: Discover and quantify opportunities from historical data.

• Automated Reporting: Develop and automate static reports and dashboards.

• Data Enablement: Build business intelligence infrastructure and mentor analysts.

• Tooling: Integrate external tools and develop internal tools as needed.

• Product Development: Engage in exploratory data analysis, product specs creation, and project management.

• Curation: Maintain documentation and repositories for team materials.

• R& D: Allocate 10-20% of time to research and development for team and business enhancement.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Assist the director with external business intelligence requests.

• Collaboration: Work with data engineering, data science, and business intelligence colleagues.

• Mentorship: Transfer knowledge to new staff.

• Consultation: Perform duties in consultation with the director of data insights.

• Other Duties: Additional tasks as assigned by the director of data insights.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Power BI or Tableau

• Professional Experience: 6+ years in relevant roles (data analyst, business analyst, etc.).

• Coding Skills: Proficient in SQL.

• Tools: Proficient in Tableau and spreadsheets.
