Robert Half Paralegal, Mass Tort in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description

A long-standing and well-respected Minneapolis law firm seeks a Paralegal to join their Mass Tort group. Ideal candidates will be excellent communicators, manage files with efficiency, and operate independently with minimal direction. This role will work directly with a small group of attorneys to prepare for upcoming cases and will be primarily responsible for undertaking extensive medical records management, drafting legal documents, and assisting in managing large-scale, complex litigations related to mass torts. Given the nature of large-scale Mass Tort cases, this role requires excellent database management and technology skills. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of current experience on the plaintiff-side of litigation cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents related to mass torts.

  • Undertake detailed legal document review, including medical records review and summarization.

  • Liaise and maintain contact with clients, experts, and other law firms to gather information relevant to the case, escalating any concerns or issues to the attorneys as necessary.

  • Organize, index, and track files related to key evidence and legal documents for easy retrieval by attorneys, ensuring the maintenance of complete, accurate, and up-to-date case files.

  • Manage deadlines, coordinate schedules, and organize client meetings and attorney calendars.

  • Accompany attorneys to court and assist with case presentations wherever required.

  • Conduct the initial client intake, including gathering information and determining case eligibility.

    Requirements

• Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a paralegal role or similar legal support position

• Knowledge of Mass Tort, Products Liability, and Pharmaceutical cases

• Ability to manage large volumes of work with high degree of accuracy

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Commitment to maintaining high level of confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
