Description

Position Overview:

TRAX is looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to provide support for our customer hosted platform and support the development of our in-house products. The candidate will be exposed to the various services that AWS provides and will be tasked with providing guidance and insight on potential improvements to our Hosted service along with the application infrastructure. The Cloud team’s vision goes beyond what we currently have implemented and are looking for someone that is willing to contribute to improving both the infrastructure and the application.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deploying and maintaining application servers and services hosted on AWS.

· Work with Cyber Security team and implement secure solutions as per industry standards.

· Monitor and remediate any reported alerts and issues.

· Track, monitor and resolve customer issues in a timely manner, while ensuring service level agreements are met/exceeded.

· Identify and perform Root Cause analysis and provide solutions for the cloud infrastructure and the development team.

· Ensure project deadlines are met/exceeded and collaborate with Project Management Dept on setting deadlines and propose proper timelines.

· Design, collaborate and provide recommendations for customer implementations, both On Premises and in Cloud

· Troubleshoot and provide permanent solutions to issues that may arise.

· Develop and maintain scripts using Git.

· Maintain process documentation, workflow, and architectural diagrams.

· Support development on their implementations and provide infrastructure insight and best practices.

· Development of medium to large complex customers technology platform or architectures.

· Identify impacts on changes and provide change control documentation.

· Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, our developed products and infrastructure.

· Build and develop innovative technologies and identify potential improvements that can be incorporated.

· Analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements.

· Support the Sales Team on preparing Demos and Proof-of-Concepts for potential customers.

· Understand the product and analytics and drive requirements that consider stakeholders needs.

· Provides on-call support, monitors the system, and identifies system deficiencies.

· Strong track record of service delivery using ITIL processes.

· Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

· Determined to deliver outcomes and able to overcome obstacles to resolve service management incidents.

· Provides Level 2/3 production support.

· Perform capacity analysis of applications hosted in AWS.

· Monitor cloud infrastructure to identify areas of improvement, reliability, cost savings, etc.

· Perform Disaster recovery testing and implement proper disaster recovery solutions.

· Contribute to the development of cloud standards, best practices, and organizational capability.

· Research and drive adoption of cloud-native technologies.

· Provide support and insight to Project Management Team to roadmap and assign milestones to projects.

· Comply with GDPR & other Privacy Laws. Avoid/Prevent the export or access of data from Countries that protect such data from being accessed or transferred out of the country/state of jurisdiction of the data.

Requirements

· BS/BA Degree in computer Science, Business, or related field; or commensurate combination of education IT Certifications and experience.

· Strong understanding of Cloud Technologies with focus on AWS.

· Experience in python, bash, PowerShell, and related scripting languages is a plus.

· Experience in Oracle OCI is a plus.

· 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and implanting cloud solutions in AWS.

· 4+ years of experience designing applications infrastructure (web, client/server, COM+, etc.)

· 4+ years of experience Linux/CentOS/RedHat

· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to set own goals and manage towards them.

· Ability to effectively mentor and train junior team members.

· Strong customer service skills.

· Willingness to work specific hours to provide SLA time-based coverage to our customers.

· Able to participate in a weekend on-call rotation to support business activities.

· Bilingual is a plus but not required.

· Ability to travel, domestically and internationally.

· Successfully, complete all required internal and external training as assigned.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
