Brunswick Director of HR and Enterprise Business Partner in Mettawa, Illinois

The Director of HR and Enterprise Business Partner​ role is responsible for overseeing all human resource activities & initiatives associated with the assigned business unit(s). This role will collaborate with senior leaders to implement effective talent management strategies, foster a high-performance culture, and drive organizational effectiveness that helps accelerate business outcomes. The HRBP will also partner closely with our HR Centers of Excellence and serve as key resource in the execution of enterprise HR programs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to business unit leadership team, providing expert guidance and support on all HR-related matters.

  • Analyze org health data and develop recommendations to business unit leadership that helps drive employee engagement, retention and talent development, and continuous improvement.

  • Implement and execute a long-term talent management strategy for the business, including talent pipelines, employee development, succession plans, and workforce planning.

  • Proactively explore, identify, evaluate, and propose options to resolve complex HR issues, working with employees and managers and advocating for the best possible approach for all those involved.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement HR initiatives, programs, and policies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Act as an ambassador for our aspirational Brunswick culture, supporting and influencing inclusion and belonging.

  • Executes key HR programs and initiatives to support business success across the enterprise while providing valuable insight and feedback to our HR Centers of Excellence.

  • Coordinate with HR counterparts across the enterprise to ensure alignment and flawless execution of HR activities for matrixed functions.

  • Manage and balance multiple demands and priorities to achieve optimal results.

  • Lead the TIDE Inclusion & Retention Pillar driving enterprise initiatives for inclusivity by partnering with TIDE program management to orchestrate awareness campaigns, cultural celebrations, and enhance inclusive ways of working and business practices.

Basic Qualifications/Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.

  • 5+ years as an HR Business Partner or comparable working experience.

  • Experience in Org Development and Operating model changes

  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and align HR strategies with overall business objectives.

  • Excellent learning agility, with the ability to quickly adapt to new situations, learn new concepts, and apply them effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

  • Continuous improvement mindset and thrives in a transformative environment.

  • Ability to organize solutions and creatively problem-solve for situations that set precedents with excellent judgment.

  • Demonstrated expertise in coaching, conflict resolution, influencing, relationship, and team building.

  • Requires working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and HRIS systems (Workday a plus).

  • Hybrid work schedule requiring onsite 2-3 days a week.
