Job Description

Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to ensure the equipment at the facility is maintained in safe manner per the manufacturer's recommendations.

Essential Duties

• Supervise the maintenance employees
• Plans, prioritizes, schedules and coordinates all maintenance activities including annual outage
• Ensure the equipment is safe to operate
• Continue to develop and improve a preventative maintenance program
• Evaluate equipment to identify potential problems
• Identify and provide training to continually develop employees
• Properly documents completion of maintenance activities
• Obtain and evaluate quotes for contract labor and materials
• Monitor parts and critical spare equipment inventory
• Initiate purchase orders
• Ensures all activities are performed in a safe manner
• Assists in start up activities
• Available for rotating on call responsibilities
• Able to act as an Incident Commander
• Prepare employee evaluations
• Develop budget
• Maintain proper record of quality tests, procedures and standards

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as MAPCON
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation, with a high sense of urgency
• Effective oral and written communication skills including comprehension of oral and written instructions
• Ability to lead by example
• Strong documentation skills, with an eye for detail and organization
• Ability to build effective relationships and work as part of a team
• Capacity to follow procedures without deviation
• Associates or Bachelor of Science Degree is desirable

Work Experience

Previous experience as a maintenance employee or a maintenance supervisor of an ethanol, chemical or pharmaceutical production facility is highly desirable.

Hours of Operation

Position is located in Marysville, Michigan.  Position is full time salaried.
