This position will be a member of the Data, Academic Planning & Institutional Research (DAPIR) office and a part of its Institutional Research and Decision Support (IRDS) team. DAPIR manages the structures needed to ensure the availability of accessible, usable, high-quality data. Along with campus partners, DAPIR promotes an institution-wide data strategy and the use of data to inform strategic initiatives and planning. The IRDS team applies their knowledge of the institution and the broader higher education landscape to analyze information about students, faculty, staff, and administrative operations to support UW-Madison\'s strategic efforts. This position\'s analytical work will focus on supporting just one office, The Office of Academic and Career Success (OACS). OACS coordinates training, communication, assessment, and technology services for advising, career services, and learning support units across campus. OACS also advocates on behalf of these three communities to campus leadership to ensure staff and student success. With a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and innovation, OACS wants to improve the academic and career success of UW-Madison students. Because of this position\'s focus on the needs of OACS, it is uniquely positioned to enhance student experience and positively impact student outcomes and achievements. A sample of potential projects include: - Analyzing staffing and caseloads in service units so that OACS can maximize impact. - Evaluating the impact of career services programming. - Determining the effectiveness of learning support programs. - Assisting with developing and implementing campus-wide experiential learning data through data collection and analysis.
