JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Division for Teaching and Learning (DTL) is looking for an experienced leader to serve as our HR Manager. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive work environment for our division\'s employees and stakeholders. The HR Manager will: -Help shape the strategic direction of the division\'s human resources functions and approach. -Maintain oversight and active involvement in all human resources functions for the division while leveraging a central campus service, Administrative Services Unit, to provide a subset of HR services (e.g., payroll, benefits, recruitment, personnel file management, etc.) to the division. -Oversee workforce/employee relations. Educate and coach employees, supervisors, and leadership on a variety of workforce relations practices. Play a key role in resolving workplace issues through proactive intervention. -Establish and maintain professional relationships with division leaders and supervisors to help better understand their unique needs and assist them in leading their teams. -Interpret and apply a wide variety of complex human resources policies and procedures. Consult with employees and supervisors when considering the best course of action for their specific situation. -Support and participate in division wide community building and collaboration efforts. -Assist with youth protection compliance. -Serve as division representative for the institution\'s HR Leads group. After significant reorganization and growth, DTL serves as the central home for campus-level efforts to advance excellence in the university\'s core educational mission. The division is home to 130 employees and 160 student employees. The division departments include the Office of Academic and Career Success (OACS), the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Mentoring (CTLM), the Wisconsin Institute for Science Education and Community Engagement (WISCIENCE), the Student Learning Assessment (SLA) office, the Morgridge Center for Public Service, Indigenous Education/Our Shared Future, the Center for Campus History (CCH), as well as the division office.
