JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Office of Academic & Career Success (OACS) seeks a collaborative, organized, and creative communications leader who is committed to student and staff success and inclusion. The Communications Director is responsible for the leadership and coordination of communications produced and distributed by OACS. Audiences for these communications include, but are not limited to, UW-Madison advisors, career services professionals, learning support staff, as well as undergraduate students, their parents, and family members. This position will collaborate with members of the OACS team to assess needs of all communities and prioritize, delegate and execute the strategic communications to help achieve the varied goals within the office. The Communications Director position also supervises two Communications Coordinators and leads a gathering of the OACS communications professionals in order to support one another in professional development and coordination. This position reports to the OACS Director for Training and Community Development. The Office of Academic & Career Success (OACS) was created in 2011 and serves UW-Madison students and staff; supporting centralized advising, career services, and learning support functions. This is done through inclusive and innovative support of staff wellbeing and success, as well as advising, career development, and learning support services for students. OACS is responsible for training, communication, assessment, advocacy, and technology servicing for campus-wide advising, career services, and learning support communities.
