Position Overview The Cash Applications Supervisor assists in the ongoing development and performance of the Cash Applications team. They are the subject matter expert in the cash management process and provide continuous support to the cash applications team. The primary responsibilities include providing supervision, hiring, training and coaching, managing & assigning workloads and handling escalated concerns. Cross-functional collaboration will be an integral part of success in this role. Essential Duties include but are not limited to the following: Supervise the day-to-day tasks of the Cash Applications team. Support and perform payment posting and processing of refunds and recoupments. Assist in developing productivity metrics and actively monitor and report on those metrics. Actively participate in the creation of procedure documents to be used by the team to conduct daily tasks. Act as subject matter expert of procedures and processes and provide guidance when inquiries are received. Assists in identification and reporting of system errors and workflow solutions. Applies critical thinking when breaking down processes to understand errors that may have occurred. Identifies and shares best practices and drives for continuous improvement of the customer experience. Assist in creating and aligning function goals to that of the organization. Assist cross-functional teams in investigating and understanding payer reimbursement trends. Conduct QA on cash posted to ensure integrity and accuracy. Provides on-going coaching to Cash Applications team to ensure a consistent and exceptional level of service is maintained. Provides escalation support. Identifies and communicates changes in payer reimbursement guidelines. Ensures compliance with all Company quality procedures and guidelines including but not limited to Quality Policy, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
