About the Role

We are searching for a talented Software Engineering intern to contribute to our in-office Active Safety Integration Pre-development team in Lowell, MA. You'll be building the future of safe driving by crafting clever algorithms and software for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS). You will have the opportunity to tackle multidisciplinary challenges involving robotics and machine learning. You'll also design simulations to test and validate these algorithms.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and implement algorithms for one or more of the autonomy stacks towards L2/L2+ ADAS applications in C++/Python.

  • Design and implement experiments to profile algorithm time/performance characteristics.

  • Design and implement software tools to support testing and evaluation of the implemented algorithms.

  • Build simulation environment for testing and synthetic data generation.

Who we are looking for

Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electronics and Computer Engineering or an equivalent field.

Your preferred qualifications

  • Relevant research / project experience in one or more of the following areas: multi-object detection & tracking; environmental modeling; machine learning; mapping & localization; motion planning; controls

  • Experience working with data from one or more sensors (radar, camera, lidar, ultrasonics, etc.)

  • Experience with software development in C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C

  • Experience with robotics middleware (ROS, ROS2, etc.)

  • Experience with modern software tools and design patterns.

  • Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
