Job Description

One of our clients within the gaming/communication software industry is looking to hire a Software Engineer II in early stages of a startup environment. The company has grown a large customer base with millions of daily users but looks to expand their B2C model to B2B. This individual will contribute to new and existing engineering projects using a high degree of autonomy to deliver innovative solutions. Using experience in scalable web applications, this person will implement APIs, new microservices, and integrations with other services: also, playing a critical role in new product development features.

Skills and Requirements

Must-haves:

• 7+ years of experience working with React, Typescript and Node.js

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL

• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs

• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture

• Experience working in an agile environment using git and Github for continuous integration

• Knowledge of building high-volume customer-facing apps

• Passion, knowledge, familiarity with AI or chatbots Plusses:

• Experience developing services with Nest.js

• Experience working with Discord API

• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and tools like TensorFlow/PyTorch plus understanding of concepts such as decision-trees, neural networks, and clustering

• Experience working with big data technologies (Apache Spark/Hadoop) for processing and model training

• Experience with generative AI models like GANs & VAEs and stable diffusion techniques

• Open to working on a hybrid schedule null
