About the role and what you’ll be doing:

The Ensono Cloud consultancy team is growing to meet customer demand for often complex and high value cloud transformation projects from traditional lift n’ shift to VM into PaaS or serverless. Ensono is looking for senior consultants to join our Azure team. You will be part of a team of Azure consultants focused on providing thought leadership and delivering high quality solutions to meet modern business needs in the Microsoft Azure public cloud space to our customers. This is a broad consulting role, covering everything from initial technical engagement with the client to hands-on implementation of Azure environments. Senior Consultants are a “go-to” technical authority for the consultancy team. They provide a high degree of technical excellence to aid both customers in their engagements and other team members in their activities. As a Senior Azure Consultant within the team, you will take a lead role on client engagements. You will demonstrate thought leadership within the team through an excellent knowledge of Azure and consulting. While the focus of the role is on leading client engagements, you will also support innovative internal projects to develop new capabilities on Azure.

As a Senior Consultant, you will design, configure and implement cutting edge enterprise Azure cloud technology solutions to provide clients with a cloud platform foundation for success. With a clear focus on leading client engagements, you will work through the complete consulting life cycle, including (but not limited to):

Design:

• Running design workshops and articulate public cloud product capabilities effectively

• Creating solution design documentation

• Delivering presentations

• Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to scope projects and design solutions

• Aid Expert Consultants with team skills baselining, understanding knowledge gaps and upskilling

• Serve as technical expert for client and team member

• Aid in product development when required

Deployment:

• Deploying Azure environments

• Building and configuring Azure solutions

• Support Azure solution integrations

• Testing and optimizing environments

As a Senior Consultant you are a professional in both technical skill and attitude, therefore you have a responsibility to:

• Provide thought leadership both to customers and Ensono

• Provide technical governance/oversight for client engagements

• Understand and articulate public cloud products effectively

• Conduct documentation peer-review,

• Provide technical escalation to consulting team

• Mentor, coaching, train internal consultants and others,

• Define and maintain standards

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years in a hands-on technology delivery role

• 2+ years designing and deploying Microsoft Azure solutions for customers in a consultative capacity and,

• 1-2 years of experience at expert level for: designing and deploying Microsoft Azure solutions for customers in a consultative capacity and mentoring other consultants

Non-Technical Requirements:

• Leadership experience (as a senior consultant or team lead)

• Self-motivated and enthusiastic

• Highly organized

• Excellent written and oral communication

• Confident presentation ability

• Strong stakeholder management skills

• Respectful of others and high degree of integrity

Technical Requirements:

• Azure networking (VNETs, ExpressRoute, VPN, Gateways, Peering, etc)

• Azure Tenant/Subscription governance including management groups, policies and blueprints

• Azure Security and auditing, including perimeter security

• Azure AD (including hybrid)

• Azure ASR

• Write and execute JSON templates

• Write and execute PowerShell

You should already understand or be prepared to learn some of the following:

• Azure DevOps

• Coding in relation to transforming apps into PaaS / Serverless

• Kubernetes/Docker

• AKS

• Service Fabric

• Azure database services

• Palo Alto Public cloud security appliances

• Barracuda Public cloud security appliances

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study

• Design / build Azure networking

• Design / build Azure security

• Design / migrate troubleshoot IaaS workloads

• Design / build ASR for DR and migration
