We drive the development of industry strategies and planning to optimize the company's products, solutions, partner programs, sales and marketing resources.

This role is both strategic and technical in nature and requires someone with meaningful federal government expertise. You will have ideally worked in the US Federal Contractor space and will use your expertise to build growth strategies in a collaborative manner across company stakeholders and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and interactions with customers and ecosystem partners.

Ideal candidates will live in the Chicagoland or DC/Virginia areas.

Role may be remote within the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads an industry strategy steering team and develops company business plans to ensure market share and revenue growth objectives.

  • Generalist—work w/business units and specialized areas (i.e. sales teams, marketing, engineering.

  • Reviews the industry environment for competitor, technology, and customer trend analysis.

  • Establishes voice-of-customer input methodologies and manages our customer advisory board.

  • Collaborates with the sales organization leadership to develop aligned strategic initiatives and vertical industry priorities.

  • Recommends and provides investment priorities and solution requirements within Horizon1,2,and 3 product portfolio.

  • Works closely with internal stakeholders throughout the strategy development process in negotiating design trade-offs that may be needed, while preserving the requirements stated in the market requirements document (MRD).

  • Works with content Marketing and Marketing Communications to ensure value proposition messaging factual content is correct, and aligned with the vertical industry strategy.

  • Represents Zebra in public relation activities and functions as industry thought leader and spokesperson.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in a STEM field or Finance)

  • 12+ years' experience, including at least 3 years managing multiple product managers in related discipline or technology industry required.

  • Advanced market knowledge in federal government vertical, opportunities, technologies and solutions REQUIRED.

  • Demonstrated experience assessing complex market landscapes and creating focused, integrated strategies required.

  • Strong attention to detail and experience implementing complex products and systems required.

  • Experience developing road maps, strategist, building business cases.

  • Self-starter who is adaptable, persuasive, tenacious and perceptive and who has demonstrated ability to execute a well-developed plan.

  • Ability to lead change.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to interact at an executive level with customers and internal company leaders.

  • Strong communication skills including written, verbal and oral presentation skills, as well as, ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, managers, clients and customers.

  • Deep understanding of financial concepts including P&L, balances sheets, and ROI models with delivery of product through defined objectives.

  • Highly creative with ability to think strategically and develop strategic/business plans.

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft business applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Security Clearance preferred.

  • Master's degree preferred.

    Ability to travel 25-30% of the time.

Salary: USD 150400.00 - USD 225600.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
