Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Senior HR Generalist, Full Time in Libby, Montana

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for a Senior HR Generalist to join our Human Resources Team!

Looking for a guru in self funded benefits administration. Candidate needs to have an extensive background in Benefits Administration, 5500, ACA, HSA, and FSA, FMLA and process development. They need to be very fiscally minded and to be able to bridge the gap between the employees understanding of benefits and what is required fiscally to administrate the changing terrain of benefits and to lead the charge during open enrollment. This leader will need to be solution-focused, collaborative, and able to understand the vision for the department and how they can support the team to get there. Healthcare HR is a plus. Candidate will be working closely with Recruiting, Leadership Development, Employee Relations and Compensation and will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge base and grow. Major Job Duties & Responsibilities

Works closely with fiscal department to ensure compliance in all programs.

Maintains employee personnel files and applicable HR documentation.

Conducts audits of numerous HR and payroll plans.

Coordinates the process of terminating employees (including exit interviews & exit letters).

Assists employees/applicants on a variety of HR matters, such as benefit questions, FMLA, conflict resolution, employee relations matters, HR/payroll related questions, etc.

Conducts research and administers hospital benefit plans (prepares for open enrollment, 403(b) non-discrimination testing, maintains forms, communications, benefit processes, and FMLA tracking, and special projects as requested.

Completes third-party compensation & benefit surveys.

Provides input on personnel policies & procedures and ensures consistent application of policies.

Assists the HR Director with employee complaint investigations and other HR employee relations matters as needed.

Reconciles monthly invoices and prepares for authorization:

Update status changes for employee personnel including updating job codes.

Assist with employee evaluation processes.

Completing any necessary employment verifications.

Creating/updating badges for the Medical Center.

Support the HR department.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Must have working knowledge of Federal and Montana labor laws.

Must be proficient (intermediate to advanced level) with Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of human resources/payroll computer systems (Meditech/API preferred).

Must have excellent organizational / time management skills.

Must maintain strict confidentiality.

Must be able to demonstrate problem solving and conflict resolution abilities.

Must possess outstanding communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of employees, applicants, vendors, etc.

Knowledge of HR functions with strong knowledge of benefits contract language required. Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, worker’s compensation, Medicare, OBRA and Social Security and DOL requirements required.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience preferred.

Educational Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related business/management field. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

Professional in Human Resource (PHR) and/or SHRM-CP preferred.
