Robert Half Programmer Analyst in Lake Jackson, Texas

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Programmer Analyst based in Houston, Texas, United States. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, working on .NET programming languages, software design, architecture, and providing technical support as needed.

Responsibilities: • Create and maintain clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture • Test, deploy, revise, and debug applications and systems • Improve existing software applications and develop new ones • Serve as an expert on .NET applications and provide technical support as needed • Implement best practices, standards, and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies • Perform technical design reviews and code reviews • Use your knowledge of C++, Database, DB2 Database, EO/IR systems, IBM, AB Testing, ASP.NET, COBOL - All Versions, Coding, and Design to ensure solution is scalable and meets overall business requirements • Follow, update, and establish new software development processes Requirements • Proficiency in C++ programming language is essential

• Demonstrated experience with database management and DB2 Database systems

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems is required

• Knowledge and experience with IBM systems is beneficial

• Ability to perform AB Testing to optimize system performance

• Proficiency in ASP.NET for web development tasks

• Experience in working with COBOL - All Versions

• Strong coding skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug

• Experience in designing system models and interfaces

• Understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Proven experience working collaboratively in a team environment

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work
