Water Distribution Functions\ Performs intermediate skilled work in construction, repair, and maintenance of water\ distribution, treatment, and production infrastructure and equipment; maintains water distribution\ mains and service line, operates machinery and equipment, performs preventive maintenance,\ repairs, and new installation to the water system, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work\ is performed under the limited supervision of the assigned supervisor.\ The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, trustworthy, and reliable. This person will have\ strong mechanical aptitude and will be able to complete their work in a safe and timely\ manner. They will be able to work with limited supervision and have the integrity to do\ their job properly. The ideal candidate must be flexible, possess good communication\ skills, and be able to work with others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\ High School Diploma or GED and moderate experience in water or wastewater system\ maintenance and operation, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIAL NOTE:\ Candidate must possess Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Grade II Water\ Distribution or Grade II Water Treatment Certification or equal grade certification from another\ state at the time of hire. ADEQ certification must be obtained through reciprocity within six (6)\ months of hire. Incumbent works outdoors and is exposed to extreme temperatures. May require\ the use of a respirator. May be subject to call back. Primary assignment will be in water\ distribution.
