ECM Consultants, Inc. Certified Construction Inspector-Shreveport, LA in Shreveport, Louisiana
We are looking for a* Certified* Construction Inspector to join our team. The right candidate will have a background in the field, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety. The Certified C onstruction Inspector monitors daily on-site quality control, construction progress and preparesand submits daily quality assurance reports concerning the contractor's performance relative to the approved quality control plan and safety plan. The Construction Inspector is expected to interpret plans and specifications relating to construction activities and ensure that the sampling plan for the project is being adhered to throughout the duration of the project. Typical projects include civil engineering construction projects associated with road and bridge construction including new construction, roadway widening, pavement rehabilitation, road dieting, roundabouts, pavement striping and signing, drainage installation, utility relocation, off-system bridge repair and replacement and state and local municipal sidewalks projects.**
- High School diploma with 5+ years experience in construction projects
- LADOTD certifications including Asphalt Paving, PCC Paving,Base Course are preferable
- Embankment and Structural Certifications Required.
- Out of State DOTD Certifications could be acceptable to LADOTD.
- Computer skills include Microsoft Office Software including MS Word and MS Excel
- Work with architects, contractors, and engineers on a daily basis.
- Communication Skills both oral and written in English
- Ability to read and comprehend civil engineering drawings and specification.
