A Kight Home Center (a division of Carter Lumber) Framing Supervisor will perform new construction, repairs, and remodeling to single and multi-family homes according to blueprints and customer’s contract. Knowledge of building materials, local building codes and proper installation techniques will be vital to this position’s success as well as a strong commitment to customer service. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of house framing experience.

  • Ability to understand blueprints accurately.

  • Possesses a valid drivers’ license and company requirements for extensive use of motor vehicles and travel.

  • Ability to schedule and organize work plans.

  • Confidently and carefully works with carpentry hand tools.

  • Capable and knowledgeable of use of ladders and work platforms.

  • Works comfortably and safely from heights.

  • Maintains assigned equipment.

  • Considerate and works well with others.

  • Accurately receives and processes work instructions of detailed drawings.

  • Very punctual, reliable, and willing to take direction.

  • Works independently, safely, and efficiently. 

Responsibilities:

Construction:

  • Analyzes jobsite prior to beginning of the job to ensure that quality construction can be done.

  • Reviews construction documents and understands material needed to build.

  • Frames buildings according to blueprint.

  • Create and support a safe work environment on the job site to protect the interest of the company at all times.

Customer Service:

  • Ensures that customers are treated with the utmost respect and given the highest quality of workmanship.

  • This is accomplished through timely completion of the job, attention to detail, following the company’s code of conduct and the ability to react to problems and complaints in a patient and understanding manner.

Knowledge & Training:

  • Responsible for acquiring the training needed to build the product safely and efficiently.

  • Responsible for becoming certified in the product/area that is being installed to ensure that we are providing the best service to our customers.
