HP Inc. Proposal and Bid Manager in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

What a Proposal and Bid Manager does at HP:

  • Lead pursuit team in developing and substantiating a winning value proposition that meets the needs of the customer, including analyzing critical business drivers and risks.

  • Owns the deal end-to-end engagement management in accordance to solution engagement framework

  • Define and govern the customer proposal schedule per requirement

  • Own customer proposal creation with Sales, Solution Architect, Legal, Service Delivery, Customer success management, Category, Finance or/and Supply Chain stakeholders as required

  • Manage and facilitate resolution with respect to customer proposal

  • Enable the transition of deal leadership to permanently assigned governance to ensure seamless asset transfer, personnel transfer, technology and process adoption.

  • Identify improvement areas and best practice sharing

  • Participate in global practices as required

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Bachelor of Business, Marketing, Engineering or Information Systems.

  • 5+ years commercial engagement, contract management or business development experience

  • Extensive experience with enterprise sales & solution motions

  • Strong solution & services background

  • Proven ability to influence others and possess a high degree of initiative

  • Excellent orchestration and engagement skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and to influence diverse organizations toward common goals.

  • Strong understanding of company organization policies and service knowledge.

  • Ability to interact with management and executive management team without hesitation. Ability to manage projects, to improve systems and internal processes.

  • Project management qualifications would be viewed favorably

  • Capacity to work across several functional teams. Advanced judgment, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of business contracts related to services business

  • Outstanding follow through and organizational ability.

  • Team player and self-directed
