JOB DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Manager is accountable for the brand campaigns that support the go-to-market strategy for the brand. This includes performance campaign management, channel strategy support, and product marketing.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the development and management of marketing strategies and programs to support brand building and the sales channel.

  • Focus on continuous improvement of marketing planning, strategy, and research to drive improved consumer adoption and enthusiasm for branded products.

  • Accountable for the management of the marketing calendars for Bayliner and Heyday.

  • Partner with the Center of Excellence (COE) to achieve success in project-based work. This includes timeline management and creative/digital execution to achieve brand standards and KPIs.

  • Bring campaign creative concepts to life by successfully planning and leading photo and video shoots

  • Oversee content production and content approvals for projects as requested

  • Ability to edit copy and provide photography guidance to ensure that brand standards are achieved

  • Ability to work and collaborate with COE teams to develop and measure comprehensive campaigns and track performance goals.

  • Responsible for collection of necessary data, information and feedback from key stakeholders including sales, customers, product management and others to inform marketing priorities.

  • Collaborate with brand marketing director to develop creative briefs and campaigns for all branded products and sales channels by working in collaboration with sales, product management, and other stakeholders intended to define the marketing strategy for new and existing products.

  • Participates in boat shows and other marketing-related events by providing support and brand representation.

  • Champion consumer insights to inform brand priorities, as established by the brand leadership team.

  • Work with trade media to develop relationships and drive engagement through digital channels

  • Ability to work within assigned budget parameters.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Communicate effectively with senior brand management, sales, portfolio, distribution channels, and Brunswick COE teams.

  • Ability to identify consumer, customer, product, and industry trends and develop strategies to take advantage of market opportunities.

  • Broad business perspective: commitment to integrated teamwork in decision making combined with disciplined prioritization.

  • Excel in problem solving, innovation, team participation, and self-motivation.

  • Fundamental understanding of operational processes, financial planning, pricing, margins, costs, inventories, and financial statements

  • Working with marketing and digital leadership to achieve success in campaigns and initiatives across brands

  • Intermediate to advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time

  • Demonstrated cross-functional management capability

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field with marketing or brand management experience.

  • 3+ years’ experience in marketing management or related field; experience managing and leading teams to achieve goals

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills required

  • Must resolve complex issues to the satisfaction of multiple parties

  • Must develop creative ways to address and resolve internal and external issues

  • Outstanding analytical skills to gather and summarize data to find solutions

  • Experience with project planning and budgeting is required

  • Ability to operate and drive boats preferred, but not necessary
