Position Title PT-Intramural Sports Specialist

FLSA Non-Exempt

Full Time/Part Time Part Time

Department Physical Education

Campus Central Campus

Location Central Campus

Hourly Rate 12.50

Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - not to exceed 19.5 hours per week

Summary of Position

This position is responsible to organize and direct the Intramural Sports Program under the direction of the Physical Education Department Chair.

Minimum Required Education

Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education is required, prefer degree in a related field or 26 credit hours in Physical Education, Recreation, or Kinesiology field.

Minimum Required Experience

Two years of wage earning experience in a intramural sports, coaching or other related recreation field required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Be able to perform skills required in individual and team sports.

  • Know current rules and be able to assist with the officiate in major team sports or scheduled events.

  • Ability to work as a team and accomplish assigned tasks with minimal direct supervision.

  • Good organizational and communication skills.
