Hourly Rate 13.73

Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - M-Th 7:30-5:30, F 7:30-11:30

Summary of Position

This position assists in the timely and accurate completion of payrolls for payroll cycles assigned. Enters and maintains records for electronic funds transfer data and serves as backup for Director, Payroll & Benefit Services.

Minimum Required Education

Associate’s Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education is required.

Minimum Required Experience

Four years’ wage-earning experience of which two years of payroll/accounting experience is required. Prefer payroll experience and experience with Ellucian (Colleague)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of automated payroll systems and data entry.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include MS Word and Excel, Skilled in operating a personal computer, calculators and various office machines.

  • Ability to perform mathematical and analytical skills.

  • Ability to review, categorize and prioritize data.

  • Ability to be detail oriented and work with deadlines.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Ability to be dependable, a self-starter, courteous and discreet.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

  • Ability to provide guidance, assistance and/or interpretation to others on how to apply procedures and standards for specific situations.
