Kalamazoo County Government Relief Worker in Kalamazoo, Michigan
Summary:
To supervise the safety and security of juvenile court wards and provide both positive reinforcement and discipline.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure the safety and security of all residents and facility staff.
- Possess clear knowledge of and adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
- Ensure individual and group interaction with residents.
- Conduct individual and group interactions with co-workers and administration.
- Paperwork/information management
- Interact with residents and exercise control over and restrain residents at times of outbursts to prevent possible injury to staff, other residents, or themselves.
- Complete behavior management information charts, logs, and written reports.
Communicate with co-workers and residents.
Qualifications:
Education: Two (2) years of college in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, or related human services, with completion of an undergraduate degree preferred.
Experience: Working with juveniles is required; working with troubled youths is preferred.
