Overview

Interstate Waste Services is looking to hire a High Volume Recruiter in Jersey City, NJ

Please note: This position is an "in-office" position. It is not remote

The successful candidate will have the following skills :

  • Proven High Volume Recruiter - excess of 30 hires /month

  • Commercial Driver hiring experience preferred

  • Self Starter, solution driven personality

  • Highly organized

  • Ability to partner with the business leaders to develop solutions to their hiring needs

  • Experience in coordinating/participating in company specific hiring events

  • Spanish speaking/writing is strongly preferred

We primarily service Northern New Jersey, Southern New York State, New York City, and recently expanded our operations of transfer stations into Pennsylvania and Ohio, where we also own and operate a state-of-the-art rail-served landfill. Responsibilities

  • Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications and skills.

  • Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified applicants and initiates contact with viable candidates.

  • Reviews applications, and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements and provide information about the organization and the position.

  • Screens and refers qualified applicants for additional interviews with others in the organization.

  • Tracks all aspects of the hiring process in ATS in order to monitor and provide relevant metrics.

  • Develops insights based on data metrics to improve candidate experience and recruitment life cycle.

  • Develops creative advertisement campaigns in coordination with the marketing department for print as well as online placement as budget permits.

  • Participate in and plan job fairs, mall shows, ethnic festivals, and other special events deemed appropriate. Coordinate participation of hiring managers and supervisors and/or other employee representatives in conjunction with these events.

  • Develops and maintains contact with schools, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.

  • Develops recruitment programs to attract applicants to fill specific job openings.

  • Coordinates communication, interviews, training schedule and job offer with applicants.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience

  • Ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast paced changing environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or similar field preferred.

Salary Range Minimum

USD $90,000.00/Yr.

Salary Range Maximum

USD $110,000.00/Yr.
