Job Summary :

As an Analyst in the Announcement Capture Utility (ACU), you will provide operational support for various internal and external clients around the globe. The ACU team is responsible for identifying, drafting, validating and announcing corporate action events. Announcement information is maintained and updated throughout the lifecycle of the corporate action. You will partner with multiple JPM lines of business that subscribe to and utilize this information. You will be responsible for reviewing various information sources for corporate action announcements and for building and maintaining a golden record of all events. The WHEM based AC team is primarily responsible for sourcing and publishing events in the US, Canadian and Latin American markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming events from various data sources, such as swift messages, agent emails, offer documents; to create and maintain corporate actions (mergers, repurchase offers, exchange offers, optional dividends, etc) for Western Hemisphere Markets

  • Review & reply to client inquiries from various sources

  • Participate in End of Day (EOD) control Functions to ensure all work and risk is managed

  • Identify automation solutions to reduce manual work

  • Contribute to publishing various team metrics

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Relevant Experience

  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines

  • Ability to work closely with business partners and interact with all staff levels

  • Experience of working in large scale, large volume work areas

  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate strategic messages clearly and consistently with the team, making linkages to individual goals and accomplishments

  • Strategic thinking; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including taking the initiative to support change and enhance controls

  • Ability to manage and adapt your process through a changing business landscape
