Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Estimating to join our team for a prestigious opera house construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the estimating process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines and budgets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of a world-class cultural landmark.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the estimation process for the project, including developing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.

• Supervise a team of estimators and coordinate their efforts to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project estimates.

• Develop and maintain project budgets, monitoring costs throughout the construction process and identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.

• Identify and assess potential risks and uncertainties associated with project estimates, implementing strategies to mitigate risks and minimize cost overruns.

• Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.

• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential cost implications and develop strategies to mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

• Implement quality assurance processes to validate the accuracy and integrity of estimating data, ensuring alignment with project scope and objectives.

• Prepare detailed documentation and reports, summarizing estimating activities, cost breakdowns, and variances for review by project management team and client.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project estimation matters, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.

• Proven experience (minimum 15 years) in estimating management, preferably within the construction industry, with a focus on large-scale projects such as Theatres, Entertainment Arenas and Opera houses.

• Strong proficiency in construction estimating software, such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data and make informed decisions.

• Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Professional certifications, such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar credentials, are a plus.
