Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Programmer Analyst in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, based in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be primarily focused on JavaScript development, specifically with React.js. You will be responsible for developing user interface components, implementing them following well-known React.js workflows, and ensuring the overall application is robust and easy to maintain.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new user-facing features using React.js

• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code

• Optimize components for maximum performance across a wide array of web-capable devices and browsers

• Collaborate with the team to solve problems, design systems and understand the infrastructure

• Maintain the robustness and easy-to-maintain status of the overall application

• Coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure

• Commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important

• Implement user interface components following well-known React.js workflows such as Flux or Redux. Requirements • Proven experience as a Programmer Analyst or similar role in the energy/natural resource industry.

• Proficient in JavaScript and its various frameworks, particularly React and Redux.

• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data, and to identify and solve problems.

• Strong understanding and knowledge of programming languages and databases.

• Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical team members.

• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Familiarity with the energy/natural resource industry and its specific challenges and requirements.

• Commitment to continuous learning and upskilling in the field of programming and data analysis.

• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment.

• Knowledge of coding languages and frameworks/systems (e.g. AngularJS, Git).

• Ability to learn new languages and technologies.

• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude.

• Attention to detail.
