Head of Commercial Real Estate Acquisitions - Hybrid Schedule!

The Head of Commercial Real Estate Acquisitions will lead all aspects of the company's efforts in identifying and acquiring strategic commercial real estate properties. This individual will oversee the sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, and closing of all commercial real estate investment opportunities. They must have in-depth knowledge of commercial real estate transactions and possess superior leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.

How you will do it

  1. Direct all acquisition activities, oversee investment processes and strategy, manage internal and external stakeholders.

  2. Lead detailed financial and qualitative analysis of potential acquisition properties.

  3. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of acquisition opportunities by establishing relationships with brokers, lenders, owners, and other key market participants.

  4. Negotiate and manage all stages of the acquisition process, from Letters of Intent (LOI), Purchase and Sale Agreement (PSA), due diligence, and closing.

  5. Work closely with internal teams for property management, development, architecture, and legal to ensure a seamless integration of acquired properties.

  6. Collaborate with the Finance team on debt structuring and investment underwriting.

  7. Provide regular reporting on acquisition progress and metrics to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

  8. Stay current with market trends and maintain knowledge of regional and national real estate markets.

    Requirements

This is what you need to offer

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.

  2. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, with a proven record of successful transactions.

  3. Extensive knowledge of real estate financial modeling, due diligence, and negotiation.

  4. Strong connections within the commercial real estate community.

  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  7. Ability to work independently and within a team, demonstrating a high level of initiative and creativity.

  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and real estate software programs such as Yardi, Argus or similar.
