Our greatest asset has been and will continue to be our people.  We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Contracts Administrator within our Legal Department based in Houston, Texas.

·       Contracts Administrator providing contracts management support to the business activities of the Midstream & Marketing segment of Occidental Petroleum Corporation.  The Midstream & Marketing segment purchases, markets, gathers, processes, transports and stores crude oil, condensate, NGLs, natural gas, and power.  The segment also trades around its assets, including transportation and storage capacity, and invests in entities that conduct similar activities.

·       Reporting to the Supervisor Contracts Administration for the Midstream & Marketing segment of Occidental Petroleum Corporation.

Primary Responsibilities

·       Coordinate the negotiation and documentation of natural gas, NGLs, and power purchase/sale transactions.

·       Coordinate contract issues with Credit, Commercial and Legal departments.

·       Communicate and interact with traders, middle office, and other corporate stakeholders to facilitate contract negotiation and administration.

·       Process contracts and related documents in the document retention system.

·      Administer natural gas, NGLs, and power agreements, and work with other departments to effectuate contract changes such as name changes, consents to assignments, and various amendments.

·       Generate contract-related correspondence.

·       Maintain electronic contract files, including all amendments, correspondence, and any other relevant documents affecting the life cycle of the contract.

·       Other duties as required, including periodic review of internal contract forms and processes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

·       Minimum 5 years experience supporting the marketing/trading of natural gas and/or NGLs.

·       Minimum 3 years experience directly related to natural gas and/or NGL contracts.

·       Demonstrated ability to: (i) research contract issues in various trading systems; and (ii) effectively communicate with external and internal personnel to resolve the same.

·       Experience with trade control processes and contracts management systems.

·       Familiarity with terms and conditions generally used to purchase and sell natural gas, and/or NGLs in domestic markets (including NAESBs, Master Netting Agreements and NGL general terms and conditions).

·       Self-starter with a willingness to learn and the ability to work independently.

·       Strong organizational skills.

·       Strong attention to detail.

·       Strong proofreading skills.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).

·       Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and to effectively communicate and coordinate with numerous corporate stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.

Relocation will not be provided.
