Job Summary: Working under general supervision and instruction, the Equipment Maintenance Technician III performs a variety of moderately difficult assignments requiring judgment to resolve.

Shift: Training on Day shift, position is on A Shift with alternating weekends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment in the manufacturing process.

  • Dismantle, adjust, repair, and rebuild manufacturing equipment using blueprints, manuals, sketches, or drawings/schematics.

  • Use test and diagnostic equipment for checkouts, applying substantial understanding, knowledge, and skill in prioritizing repairs and adjustments.

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document maintenance as per program designation.

  • Calibrate equipment using general and special-purpose test equipment.

  • Communicate with equipment suppliers for repairs, maintaining data for process improvement initiatives.

  • May assist in developing work procedures, source and purchase equipment parts, and maintain backup information for critical production equipment software systems.

  • Make recommendations regarding new or replacement equipment, train employees in machinery operation, and may work overtime or be on-call.

  • Comply with company security policies.

Job Qualifications: Knowledge Requirements:

  • Proficient in English communication.

  • Personal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and e-mail).

  • Broad knowledge and troubleshooting capability with various electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.

  • Use of basic and special-purpose hand tools, leveling instruments, and test/calibration equipment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot failures detectable at the IO level.

  • Forklift certification may be required.

  • Understanding of safety practices requirements.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Associate degree in electronics with an emphasis in servo positioning theory or equivalent discipline, preferred.

  • Five (5) to eight (8) years of prior work experience in electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment is required.

  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
