[Midwest Maintenance and Construction, Inc. is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated individual to fill a Construction Technician position. Midwest Maintenance and Construction, Inc. is a 30-year-old, family-owned company that specializes in providing various services for the petroleum/ gas station/ convenience store industry, to include Service, Lighting, Maintenance, Construction, and Imaging (the branding/re-branding of gas stations and convenience stores). Previous construction experience is preferred, but not necessary.

• Conducting yourself with a positive attitude
• Maintaining professionalism both on and off the jobsite
• Ability and initiative to work both alone and with others in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read and interpret plans and/or blueprints
• Ability to listen and take direction
• Ability to communicate with others on site
• Communicating with site foreman to ensure jobs are being completed effectively and efficiently
• Ability and willingness to thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning with an emphasis on identifying hazards to ensure safety
• Willingness to work outdoors on a variety of construction projects in all weather conditions
• Willingness to travel within the state of Indiana to perform and complete various construction projects (occasional overnight stays out-of-town)
• Knowledge in using and experience working with various hand and power tools.
• Interacting with all levels of management
• Interacting with Midwest Maintenance employees/technicians throughout the day to ensure jobs are being completed effectively and efficiently
• Assisting in implementing processes to increase operational efficiency
