Program Coordinator

EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 62,888 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Program Coordinator to work full time for its In-home Respite Services Program.

The Program Coordinator position is a non-exempt position paying $30 per hour at 35 hours per week. The work schedule is Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM and the office is located in Garden City, NY. The role reports to the Senior Director.

    Primary Purpose of Job:

    The Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the In-home Respite Services Program.

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain all records, statistics, and evaluations for the Program.

  • Record telephone intakes, and provide guidance and referrals for caregivers.

  • Schedule home assessments and conduct initial home visits.

  • Recruit, screen and train Respite Companions.

  • Conduct program outreach.

  • Monitor the collection of client fees.

  • Prepare and monitor Program budgets.

  • Prepare reports for EAC NETWORK funding sources.

  • Customarily and regularly exercises discretionary powers.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field required.

  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience working with the elderly required.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and computer skills.

  • Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.

  • Must have access to automobile and valid drivers license to operate in NY State.
