Department Summary:

The Tactical Air Dominance Department (N151) is transforming warfighter operations by accelerating the fielding of advanced families of weapon systems through digital acquisition, advanced simulation and emulation, resilient communications, and autonomy experimentation. Our work programs contribute to the United States Air Force Operational Imperatives where we are enabling the warfighter to execute current and emerging kill chains effectively and efficiently in highly contested environments. Our Department is seeking an experienced, assertive, highly entrepreneurial, and collaborative Principal Technical Integrator to help shape and execute our work program at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. This position offers challenging opportunities to apply integration, innovation, and analysis skills to directly address some of the Air Force’s highest priority challenges.

Job Description:

  • Understands and applies system of systems (SoS) concepts to address Enterprise-wide weapon systems development and integration, including technical risks and challenges.

  • Partners with multiple sponsors to develop coordinated weapon systems development strategies and consolidates efforts of various organizations into integrated Enterprise-level implementation plans.

  • Applies strategic management, change management, process innovation, and transition implementation to achieve high-impact and high-quality digital transformation outcomes for sponsors.

  • Leads and conducts SoS operational analysis and engineering studies to develop Enterprise-level concepts of operations (CONOPS), SoS interoperability requirements, and applicable SoS mission engineering scenarios to adequately verify and validate families of weapon systems operating in highly contested environments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field ; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

  • 10+ years Systems Engineering expertise and 5+ years of Project Management or Technical Leadership experience.

  • Knowledge of major government rapid, agile, and digital system acquisition processes/strategies and familiarity with program office organization and structure.

  • Experience in one or more technical domain areas such as: operational analysis, aerospace and sensor systems, experimentation, simulation, emulation, network modeling, digital engineering, mission thread development and analysis, and/or software-intensive systems.

  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively across challenging and diverse stakeholders to propose, shape, and lead high-visibility and high-impact work.

  • Familiarity with the Air Force Operational Imperatives and advanced warfighting concepts.

  • Familiarity with government digital engineering platforms or similar government-owned integrated digital engineering environments.

  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Master’s degree in a STEM related field

  • 15+ years Systems Engineering expertise and 10+ years of Project Management or Technical Leadership experience.

  • Applied knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) traditional and non-traditional acquisition processes. Experience and demonstrated success leading Air Force programs from concept through fielding/IOC.

  • Experience with advanced weapon technologies and concepts of employment such as Hypersonic Weapons, Net-Enabled Weapons (NEWs), Networked Collaborative and Autonomous (NCA) weapons, and/or Palletized Weapons.

  • Deep technical knowledge in one or more technical domain areas such as: Open Mission Systems (OMS), Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Tactical Data Links, Modeling and Simulation (M&S), Mission Engineering, Design of Experiments, Tactical Autonomy Concepts, and/or Test and Evaluation

  • Leadership roles interfacing with and responsible for engagements with Senior Air Force General Officer (GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) sponsors.
