Job Summary:

AIS is looking for an Electronics Technician to work in Fort Moore, GA.

Electronic Technicians I Applies technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions. Performs such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. Work is spot-checked for accuracy. This description is for a normal Elect Technician I and this is what we classify the Instructor / Operators as we have on staff as well.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

This specific job will require you to issue/Instruct on use of Military Equipment and to also be able to maintain the equipment making sure it is ready to issue to all current customers. You will have to input usage reports into an army-based portal additionally adding the equipment into maintenance status when needing too.

  • Operates various training systems to instruct Soldiers in the use of weapons systems, such as the EST2000 (Engagement Systems Trainer).

  • Calls For Fire Trainer, Improvised Explosive Device Trainer, Rollover Trainers, Artillery Simulators, Nomadic Gun Simulators etc.

  • Prepares and assists on shipping Government freight to include small package express shipments. Also, Prepare Transportation Documents.

  • Inspects in-bound shipments from notification of consignee for possibility of improper handling by commercial carrier.

Additionally, you will be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

  • Must be 18.

  • Must be able to speak and write the English Language proficiently.

  • Experience in Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical circuits and circuit boards.

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • CDL license would be preferred.

  • Must possess and continuously maintain a current State Driver’s License.

Experience:

  • Preferred area of experience in maintaining military training equipment.

  • Experience is training Soldiers preferred.

  • Experience in any of the following: Engagement Skills Trainer, Basic Rifle Marksmanship, Urban Rifle Marksmanship and Call for Fire Trainer.

  • Ability to document repair, maintenance work and maintain computerized records.

  • Experience working independently without direct supervision.

  • Must have Forklift and pallet jack experience.

  • Computer experience with using software.

Security:

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Must receive a favorable background investigation.

Working Environment/Physical Activities:

Work is generally conducted in an office environment. However, duties may have you outside for function checks or to assists customers in the field with a potential exposure to the climate conditions. There will be stooping, prolonged standing and sitting. You will be trained to use Forklifts/pallet jacks in the warehouse where equipment is stored on a rack system while being stored. PPE is required which will be provided upon Hire. This includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
