FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports to: Finance Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

Working under administra?ve supervision and with moderate difficulty, this posi?on is responsible for

planning, administering, coordina?ng, and assis?ng with the financial ac?vi?es of the agency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages and prepares monthly revenue and expense reports for all agency departments to

ensure complete and accurate financial informa?on in accordance with generally accepted

accoun?ng principles (GAAP)

Performs monthly journal entries to allocate salary and expenses to various program level

services to ensure complete, accurate month-end repor?ng

Collaborates with departmental level staff in financial performance repor?ng to ensure the

availability of program funds

Assists with Head Start budget prepara?on and analysis to ensure sustainability of future

business opera?ons

Monitors agency cash flow and reconciles bank accounts to ensure availability of funds

Prepares accounts receivable invoices to ensure accurate and ?mely submission

Performs quarterly balance sheet account reconcilia?ons to the general ledger to ensure

complete, accurate financial informa?on in accordance with GAAP

Reviews, tracks, and maintains agency contracts and procurement records and performs internal

audit ac?vi?es to ensure compliance with agency procurement policies and procedures

Manages the agencys annual asset inventory to ensure complete and accurate recordkeeping

Develops and implements training materials for the agencys procurement policy process to

ensure regulatory compliance

Develops and implements travel authoriza?on and reimbursement system to ensure compliance

with agency travel policies

Manages the receipt, research, and distribu?on of all accounts payable invoices to appropriate

departmental level staff and tracks status of routed invoices to ensure ?mely payment to

vendors

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Administra?on, Finance,

Accoun?ng, or other related field of study; and four years related professional experience; OR an

equivalent combina?on of educa?on, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform

the du?es of the posi?on.
