Position Description:

Performs professional level analysis and control functions in area of assignment.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • Maintain Texas Fleet System for the TTUHSC El Paso campus. Analyze and prepare fuel, repair and preventative maintenance reports for state submission. Serve as primary contact for the State Office of Vehicle Fleet Management.

  • Maintain vehicle preventative maintenance data on WebTMA system and oversee departments compliance. Process incoming golf cart work orders within WebTMA and coordinate between the departments and suppliers.

  • Process and review all required documentation for state vehicle accidents and serve as liaison between the TTUHSC El Paso campus and the Office of Risk Management.

  • Secondary: Assist with the process of any formal/informal bids, obtain estimates for departmental needs and process of annual Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts contract for the Texas Fleet System.

  • Secondary: Assist in the development and implementation of fleet management policies and procedures, which may be utilized within the department and/or at the institutional level and enforces statewide vehicle fleet management policies and procedures.

  • Conduct spot checks on state vehicles and golf carts, perform quarterly audits to check recalls on National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

  • Conduct monthly fire extinguisher checks on shuttles

  • Prepares annual property certification for Parking & Transportation Services.

  • Must have and maintain valid State of Texas Drivers License and be listed as an approved driver as determined by Risk Management and insurance carrier. Must e able to pass the employee Criminal Background Check.

  • Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.

  • Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, thorough knowledge of federal and state policies and procedures which related to work preformed.

  • Bilingual: Spanish and English.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

  • Employee must be able to work flexible work schedule due to coverage or events.
