Job Purpose:

Provides support for the enterprise network services availability.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)

• Supports enterprise network services availability by implementing, maintaining and monitoring network performance, resolving intermediate network infrastructure, IP telephony, infrastructure cabling, network security technologies, Cisco routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Virtual Private Network, Unified Communication, Email Security, and Web Security, and providing data backup and recovery services to comply with disaster recovery plan. - 50%

• Provides technical support for computer hardware and software by answering incoming help desk phone calls, providing personal service to computer users, installing PC hardware and software, configuring PC workstations and troubleshooting system failures. - 40%

• Assists IT Operations Manager by completing special projects as assigned. - 10%

  Job Specifications:

  Education and Experience:

  Essential:

• CompTIA A+/N+ certification or higher in good standing

• 4 years of IT support experience or an Associate's Degree in IT or related field

  Desirable:

• Cisco CCNA certification in good standing

• Information Technology experience in a casino or gaming environment

  Skills and Knowledge:

  Essential:

• Proficiency in network connectivity practices, routing, and switching terminology, network cabling best practices, and interconnectivity solutions

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory service and support functions, account creation, group assignment, account suspension, and password changes

• Working knowledge of advanced PC hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills

• Working knowledge of advanced Microsoft Office troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques

• Working knowledge of local and network printing services, connectivity, hardware maintenance, driver installation, and industry standard troubleshooting skills

• Working knowledge of Client/Server application deployment and best practices

• Working knowledge of telecom (phone) service and support practices, voicemail creation, and maintenance techniques

• Ability to effectively communicate problems, resolutions, and instructions to non-IT personnel

• Ability to interact effectively with a diverse team member population

• Excellent guest service skills

• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity

• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure

• Detail-oriented

• Ability to appear for work on time

• Ability to work any shift (24/7)

• Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions

• Ability to accept constructive criticism

• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours

• Ability to bend, stoop, grasp, push and pull
