Job Description

Insight Global is seeking two RF / Spectrum Engineers to join the team. These RF / Spectrum Engineers will be supporting GDIT's program with UAS detection and mitigation technology/system research, testing, and evaluation efforts. Main responsibilities of this role will include performing systems modeling, simulation, and analysis. Preparing and executing test plans and test cards. Develop 'performance specifications' framework for each type of UAS detection and mitigation technology with the objective to create Advisory Circulars or other guidance documents. Support planning and coordination efforts in preparation for the deployment, testing, and evaluation of UAS detection and mitigation technologies/systems.

Skills and Requirements

  • BA/BS (in Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience).

  • 10-plus years of RF and Radar experience. - Master's Degree or PhD in related field may be substituted for bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience.

  • Project management/organization, research techniques, creating plans, cost estimation, risk management, logistics, data collection, analysis, technical writing, and presenting formal/technical information.   • Capable of fully executing related research and development projects. Accomplish complete and timely deliverables without daily supervision.

  • Demonstrated experience performing spectrum analysis, capturing results, analysis of the results, and then writing report and present the results to technical and nontechnical audiences.

  • Self-Starter, Able to complete complex tasks with little or no oversight.

  • Able to work as a part of a highly collaborative team.

  • Demonstrated success starting work with ambiguous requirements and help customer to refine them over time. null
