Insight Global Systems Configuration Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan
Job Description
Design/ Develop program specific electrical system schematics
Support electrical device transmittal process: VSEM GDT Set-up, DT Approvals, Create DT Status Report
Develop program specific system FMEA and DVP (Validations Plan)
Prototype Breadboards (parts list development & sign-off, validation, sign-off)
Prototype Vehicle Builds (yellowboard software flashing and configuration, functional sign-off, troubleshooting) which could include travel to production facilities
Lead compatibility reviews to verify all module and wiring interfaces
Development of Software Configuration files
Prototype Vehicle Software Flashing
Support Netcom to develop the Netcom message list
General Electrical system troubleshooting
Identify and resolve system related design issues
Understand system interfaces to identify possible improvements and trade-offs
Position Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science
3+ years of automotive experience in wiring and/ or Systems
1+ years of proficiency in root cause analysis and authoring well documented 8D's
Independent worker and capable of delivering multiple project commitments concurrently
Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Broad interpersonal skills allowing a wide range of interface with vehicle product development / subsystems engineers, cross-functional teams, and suppliers

Skills and Requirements
3+ years of automotive experience in wiring and/ or Systems
