Job Description

An Employer is seeking a fully remote Sr. Data Engineer. This person will support a project for a large retail company where the logistics group is currently rewriting and refining their reporting. There are hundreds of reports generated daily. This person will need to identify these data sources to then write the code within Databricks to input the data into a repository using snowflake. This person will need to be highly proficient working within Databricks along with developing ETL pipelines. This role will require some maintenance of ETL pipelines. As well as communicating with the client to understand the end goals. This person will need to be highly independent and comfortable working in a fast paced environment meeting strict deadlines.

Skills and Requirements

8+ years experience as a Data Engineer

2-3+ years Databricks Experience

8+ years experience developing ETL pipelines

8+ years SQL experience

8+ years experience programming in Spark SQL or Python or Pyspark

3+ years Cloud experience: Azure, AWS, or GCP

Experience integrating data from a variety of data source types

Experience improving code performance and query optimization Snowflake
