Because we believe that everyone deserves more time to live life to its fullest. Mobile Coordinator/Blood Donation Specialists: Loads, unloads equipment and supplies. Assures adequate inventory at collection sites. Sets up and dismantles equipment. Drives donor coach Greets, registers, screens and takes vital signs on prospective donors. Performs all aspects of phlebotomy and whole blood and/or automated red cell/plasma/platelet collection procedures, recognizes and implements appropriate intervention for donor/patient reactions as trained and assigned. Completes Blood Donation Record and other forms. Recognizes and implements appropriate intervention for donor reactions. Inspects and performs quality control on equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. Opportunities to join various employee committees Required High School Diploma/GED Regular attendance is an essential function of all positions. Must be guided by the highest level of integrity and people-centered care. Six months work experience performing phlebotomy Solvita whole blood collection on the job training is acceptable in lieu of phlebotomy experience. Successful completion of CBC whole blood collection on the job training is required within 2 months. CPR certification or required within six (6) months of hire. Work Environment and Physical Activities Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation. Uses proper body mechanics when lifting and moving heavy objects. Lift or carry up to 60 pounds repeatedly without assistance. Meet driver insurability standards as established by CBC/CTS as you will be required to drive About Solvita We began in Dayton in 1964 as the region's first centralized blood bank.
