Job Number: R0190135 Cybersecurity Weapon System Engineer Key Role: Provide technical expertise and guidance on the cybersecurity aspects of weapon systems and space systems. Work closely with the Booz Allen Cyber-physical Defense team and other stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate cyber threats and vulnerabilities affecting mission success in the space domain. Support the development and implementation of cybersecurity solutions, mitigations, and best practices for space systems and operations. Conduct cyber threat analysis and Mission-based Cyber Risk Assessments for space systems and operations, including satellites, ground stations, and command and control networks. Provide cybersecurity recommendations and solutions for space systems and operations, based on industry standards and best practices. Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, including procedures, plans, reports, and briefings. Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external partners, including across Booz Allen, other government agencies, industry, and academia, on cybersecurity issues and initiatives related to space systems and operations. Provide cybersecurity training and awareness for space defense personnel and other stakeholders. Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and threats in the space domain. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience with cybersecurity Experience with cybersecurity principles, frameworks, standards, and best practices, including NIST, ISO, and CIS and cybersecurity analysis, assessment, and mitigation for space systems and operations, using various tools and methods Experience with weapon systems and operations, including their architectures, functions, and vulnerabilities Knowledge of cyber threat actors, tactics, techniques, and procedures, and their implications for space systems and operations Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure and with tight deadlines Ability to travel up to 25% of the time Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering Cybersecurity Certification, including CISSP, CISM, CEH, or OSCP Additional Qualifications: Experience with cybersecurity in weapon systems or a related field Experience in working with a space defense team or government agencies on cybersecurity issues and initiatives related to space systems and operations Experience in developing and delivering cybersecurity training and awareness for space defense personnel and other stakeholders TS/SCI clearance Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
