Configuration Manager/Data Manager Journeyman Job Locations US-OH-Dayton ID 2024-4812 Category Configuration/Data Management Type Full Time Hours/Week 40 Location : Name Wright Patterson AFB Position Summary Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Journeyman Configuration/Data Manager position supporting the Strike Systems Branch. The AC-130J Gunship Program is a USSOCOM ACAT II program to modify MC-130J aircraft supporting dedicated SOF missions with close air support and air interdiction. The primary role of the program is integration of the Precision Strike Package (PSP) on MC-130J's producing the AC-130J. PSP is a proven capability composed of Government Furnished Equipment with major components including weapons, sensors and fire control equipment. The physical integration of PSP onto the AC-130J is performed by a combined Government and contractor team. Program management authority resides with USSOCOM (PEO Fixed Wing) and is supported by six Combat Acquisition Detachments (CADs). The Strike Systems Branch is one of these CADs and is responsible for the integration of PSP capabilities onto the platform. Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Must be able to use Multi-User Engineering Change Proposal Automated Review System (MEARS), Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS), Acquisition Streamlining and Standardization Information System (ASSIST), Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS), Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System (JEDMICS), Joint Electronics Type Designation Automated System (JETDAS), and Air Force and SOF portals (to prepare spreadsheets, briefings, figures, graphics, tables, forms, and papers, providing finished products in technical and non-technical both classified and unclassified, in the media and format requested. Provide advisory assistance and draft documentation support in performing configuration and data management tasks related to the development, production and support of various weapon systems and items of equipment acquired by SOF. Tasks that require contractor support include the full range of Configuration Management (CM), Data Management (DM) and Engineering Data Management (EDM) to include data rights, Deficiency Reporting (DR) and Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) actions required to accomplish specifically assigned work for individual task orders. interface and assist in coordinating activities with Division and higher-level management, CM/DM Chief, IPT Leaders, the various project officers, other outside program offices, various IPT members and Defense Contract Management Agency. Assist in providing configuration management support for hardware and software to also include support equipment. provide advisory support in reviewing program-unique specifications to include system specifications, development specifications and product specifications for both hardware and software, for proper format, content, assurance of appropriate STINFO and export control markings, and compliance with program requirements, appropriate standards and configuration management practices. assist in processing nomenclature and Computer Program Identification Number (CPIN) requests, and by tracking the requests through the appropriate Government agencies for response back to the customer. Assist in distributing, logging, filing, and tracking Government- approved configuration item (CI) specifications, specification updates and Specification Change Notices (SCN). provide comments and recommendations for the Government configuration manager's consideration that are designed to enable the Government to update and authenticate the specifications in a timely manner.
