Kuehne+Nagel General Manager in Dallas, Texas

Your Role

You will have oversight of the facility and ensure the full and efficient operation of the site. Your key responsibilities will include staffing, warehouse operations, budgeting, P&Ls, and customer service. We will count on your years of experience in distribution management, succession planning, building bench strength, and continuous improvement projects to ensure operational excellence and supreme customer service.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize quality and productivity

  • Continuously improve effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational

  • work environment, and implementing innovative changes

  • Participate in trade organizations

  • Ensure the development of systems and procedures to manage physical facilities, equipment, and products profitably

  • Conduct operations in compliance with OSHA regulations

  • Assist in the establishment of customer service standards for all accounts; communicate expectations and ensure alignment with all personnel

  • Regularly communicate with customers, respond quickly to inquiries, and provide timely solutions in a mutually beneficial manner

  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships

  • Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality in sanitation, maintenance, security, housekeeping, quality, and safety

  • Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans

  • Review customer contracts and assist in negotiation and pricing

  • Partner with HR to resolve internal staff conflicts; monitor and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 10+ years in warehousing

  • 7+ years of management experience; 3PL experience is strongly preferred

  • 2+ years of experience with leading and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Continuous Process Improvement
