Description:

Actalent is seeking a Ship Systems Technician, either a Fire Controlman (FC2) or Electronics Technician (EC2), with experience on L Class ships to support a client on a Navy program in Dahlgren, VA. The client has been successful for over 50 years and is a trusted partner with the Department of the Navy. We are looking for a Systems Technician to provide to provide technical expertise to the team... Day to Day May Include... -Provide ship integration services that address the design, installation, test and maintenance of combat systems on L Class Ships -Perform tech. reviews of planned ship upgrades, coordinating Liaison Action Records, provide comments on potential system and integration issues/impacts -Generate and perform technical review of Non-AEGIS combat systems with Ship Change Documents -Review system changes to identify possible conjunctive alteration impacts -Conduct ship checks to document existing compartment arrangements and system configurations

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess... 5-7 Years of experience in Ship Systems Support -Experience as an ET2 or FC2 supporting combat systems -Familiarity with Ship Specification documents -Experience in AutoCad would be desired but no mandatory
