Amazon Licensing Strategy & Ops Mgr, Prime Video in Culver City, California

This role will find innovative and efficient ways to solve customer pain points at root cause and driving insights that lead to new product solutions. You will work cross-functionally across the Prime Video organization to drive initiatives that enhance our customer experience for video providers around the world. Your team will be operationally focused on supporting the growth of the business and will find new ways to drive growth and scale using technology. The Prime Video Content Acquisition team is looking for a bright, analytical, driven, and creative candidate to join our content licensing team as a Program Manager for Licensing Strategy/Ops. In this role, you will be responsible for, among other tasks, working with our world wide content acquisition teams to license the best content for our customers, create innovation solutions to complex problems, and lead strategic initiatives across all of Prime Video's business lines (SVOD, TVOD, AVOD, etc).

Key job responsibilities

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrated success in leading complex - often ambiguous projects - and driving operational metrics. He or she will be customer obsessed and consistently look for opportunities to enhance the customer experience by using scalable technology. This person should be organized and able to use mechanisms to drive productivity, actionable insights, and timely responses to customer/stakeholder inquiries. A good candidate will have strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to influence others, and a passion for digital video. Additionally, this person must be able to balance operational and strategy work to deadlines. The ideal candidate will enjoy defining new processes, successfully and consistently deliver results, and working cross-functionally to drive automation and scale. At the same time, they are not afraid to roll up their sleeves to simply get the job done. The program manager should be highly proficient in Excel, have strong attention to detail and polished communication skills, and ideally from a program management, finance, accounting, or digital media operations background.

About the team

This team sits at the heart of Prime Video's licensing business and has ownership/insights across all of Prime Video's business lines (SVOD, TVOD, AVOD, etc) and all territories. You will be joining a team with high visibility to Prime Video leadership and high impact to the business.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of managing stakeholders in cross-functional project experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • 4+ years of data analysis experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
