Title: IT Systems Administrator

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As an IT System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and securing our company’s computer systems and networks. Your responsibilities will include managing user access, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • System Admin - Setup and Provisioning :

  • Install new / rebuild existing servers (physical and virtual) and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

  • Develop and maintain installations and configuration procedures.

  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks.

  • Monitoring and Maintenance :

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.

  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.

  • Employ the latest security protocols to safeguard our systems.

  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.

  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary.

  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.

  • Technical Support :

  • Provide Tier I/II/III support per user requests.

  • Troubleshoot system-related problems and offer guidance to users.

  • Technology Enhancement :

  • Collaborate with company leadership to identify new technologies that can improve our computer systems.

  • Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a technician in the computer technology field, including data and system administration.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux Server operating systems.

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

  • Experience with cloud hosting.

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Hyper-V).

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

  • Project management and documentation.

    Liberated Brands is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Costa Mesa, CA is $70,000 - $80,000. Compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location.
